The Mars was built as a sailing coaster in 1924 at Mulder shipyard. After many wanderings on the Baltic Sea and along the English coast, the sturdy Groninger sailing liner was completely renovated in 1996 as a sailing passenger ship. The comfortable sailing ship breathes the atmosphere and cosiness of a historic sailing ship.

De Mars is als zeilende kustvaarder gebouwd in 1924 bij scheepswerf Mulder. Na vele omzwervingen op de Oostzee en langs de Engelse kust, werd de stoere Groninger zeillogger in 1996 totaal gerenoveerd tot zeilend passagiersschip. Het comfortabele zeilschip ademt de sfeer en de gezelligheid van een historisch zeilschip.
